ECOSCAPES: A new landscape of thinking about Ecology
First, understand the world and then... change it!
The ECOSCAPES project seeks to bring together young people aged 18 to 30 from Greece and Germany to exchange views, experiences, and practices on how they perceive nature, climate change and ecological awareness.
The program will be carried out with a grant from the Hellenic-German Youth Foundation, and in partnership with the German-based non-governmental organization Bürger Europas e.V.
A set of activities such as interactive non-formal education seminars, film screenings, hikes, thematic trails, and creative workshops will introduce participants to alternative economic, social, and environmental models such as sustainable development and degrowth, community and circular economy, ecosystem sustainability and environmental conservation.
The team that will implement the activities and lead the workshops includes:
• Fanis Papageorgiou, Professor at the Department of Business Administration, University of Patras,
• Ioanna Dramitinou, Surveyor - MSc Survey Engineer,
• Lucy Gezekelian, Architectural Engineer, NTUA
In addition, participants will have the opportunity to follow thematic trails in the area under the guidance of the Vikos-Aoos Geopark.
The purpose of the actions is to be a trigger to think and experiment in a creative and experiential way, on the idea that the sustainability and protection of the planet are linked to practices on an individual and collective level.
If you belong to this age group and you live in Greece, you can register on the form for an adventure of learning, entertainment and exploration in the heart of magnificent Vikos!
